RESEARCH CENTER IN SYSTEMS ECOLOGY AND SUSTAINABILITY
The research infrastructure of the RESEARCH CENTER IN SYSTEMS ECOLOGY AND SUSTAINABILITY refers to facilities and resources for ex-situ research, in-situ monitoring and experimentation, databases, data infrastructure, computing facilities, research vessel, used by scientific community (researchers, academic staff, post-doctoral students, PhD. students and master students) to conduct top-level research in environmental sciences, biodiversity, socio-ecological systems and sustainability.
It helps to create a platform for multi and trans-disciplinary research where researchers from different disciplines (ecology, biology, sociology, economics, mathematics, chemistry, environmental sciences) shared the knowledge, data and information with stakeholders (local communities, public authorities, enterprises, businesses, decision makers and politicians) producing new knowledge and looking for solutions to actual societal problems.
